Kelsey Hatcher, 32 years of age, had a condition called uterus didelphys when she was 17. But that never interfered with her life until now. She and her husband Caleb had thought that they were done with being pregnant as they had 3 kids already.
But a few months back when she found out she was pregnant and that there was 1 baby in each uterus, she got the shock of her life. She is to deliver her babies this Christmas.

She discovered the twins in the 8th week of her ultrasound. One of the doctors handling Hatcher’s pregnancy, says this is so uncommon, that many OB/GYN have never come across this situation in their entire careers.
The doctors have to use all their teaching and knowledge to handle Hatcher’s pregnancy and delivery as this situation is something unusual.
While we know that twin pregnancies are not uncommon, Kelsey Hatcher’s is because she ovulated separately, where each egg travels down each side of the uterus the sperm travels up each uterus and the fertilization occurs in both.
