One was ‘Jolene’ one of her iconic songs, which celebrates its golden anniversary this month, having first hit the country chart in November 1973 before going to No. 1. and the other one was ‘9 to 5’ from the 1980 comedy in which she acted alongside Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin. This song topped Billboard’s Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs charts, won two Grammys, and was nominated for Song of the Year, followed by the 10-time Grammy winner’s cover of Queen’s “We Will Rock You”/”We Are the Champions.
The event tickets were all sold out. And Dolly’s performance got the audience cheering and giving thunderous applause.
One of the fans called her a ‘queen’ and another one called her a ‘national treasure’.
Dolly Parton is a veteran Singer-songwriter and musician. She released her latest album, the forty-ninth solo studio album ROCKSTAR on 17th November.
